11th Annual Award Show
2011 Convention and Awards Show A Huge Success Dear Family and Friends, The Granbury
Square Plaza in Granbury Texas was the site of the 2011 Convention and Awards Show of the KING Country Agape Fest.
With an awesome representation of many great artists present, Christian Country Gospel Music enjoyed four
wonderful days and nights in the awesome presence of God. A wonderful spirit of love and unity made the
fellowship sweet throughout the entire celebration. The jam sessions each night at the Baymont Hotel each night added
even more special love with each artist and fan. At 10:00 am David House taught our first workshop sharing "Spontanious Worship". At 11:00 am we had Robert Jason teach a workshop on "The Vocal Connection...Studio and Live". Thursday June 23rd Marion Pate taught an anointed workshop "Witness Through Adversity" As she shared many stories about her daughter and our own special friend, Amanda Fessant with her battle of Cancer the presence of God flowed like a river of His love and peace. Becky Wright brought the next workshop with "Successful Singing By Definition" was awesome as it tied in with so much of what Marion shared. It was so precious to see how God has a PLAN for each of our lives. We just need to lean heavily into it! Friday June 24th began with our daily Praise & Worship and Communion with our first workshop "ABC's of the XYZ's of Booking" taught by Jack Stone. Our next workshop was "Songwriting" taught by Robert Jason, renowned Producer and songwriter from Nashville. We had a SPECIAL time with the family of Amanda Fessant as we shared and celebrated her life and what she meant to each of us. On Saturday we began with a wonderful breakfast and heard teaching by Spencer and Cyndy Nordyke. Fred Campos taught us a lot about "Reaching More Music Fans & Have Fun Doing It By Using Sosial Media" Each Day we featured many artists in a full day of showcase performances. We were blessed with the ministry of Marty Raybon, former lead singer for Shenandoah and a Grammy Award Winner. The 11th Annual Awards Show was the highlight of the weekend, with awards being presented in 22 categories. Several artists received special recognition, including Dr. Doug DeRamus, who received the "Bob Wilson Award of Excellance" This year's Jubal Award was presented to David House, David is always so quick and ready to be a servant for the Lord. Anna Smith of Canyon Creek Records, Ken Iverson of East Texas Country Gospel Greats, Robert Jason of Robert Jason Productions, and J.R.
